Release Time Education
Release Time Education will resume with the new School year. 5th Graders from Westport School who have parental permission will come to our church two Thursday per month for Christian Education. This class takes place the last hour of the school day. This program has been in partnership with Westport School for five years and our church is excited about the coming new school year.

Missouri Missions
 The Rheubin L. South Missouri Mission offering will begin in September. Our church goal this years is $1650. This offering is a statewide offering which helps our colleges, new church starts as well as many other statewide ministries. |
Glorietta of the Ozarks...
...will be held September 5,6 at Ridgecrest Baptist Church. This is an opportunity for training in all areas of church leadership. Session 1 will begin Friday evening and Session 2 will be on Saturday until noon.
Church Directory Updates!
In an effort to bring our directories up to date. We are asking families who are not in the directory to contact the Pastor to have a picture taken at church before or after a morning or eveing service. We will print the pages for our church to add to their directories.
Sunday night September 21st will be movie night at Golden Avenue Baptist Church. We will be showing "Facing the Giants" This is a story of youth and adults by the power of God, overcoming the giants in their lives. Dan Reeve former NFL coach said about this movie, "Every family in America should see this movie." This movie is free to everyone. So come and bring a friend.

Choir Practice And Praise Team will begin alternating practice on Sunday evenings at 5:30 prior to evening service. See Kevin for a calendar of when each will be practicing.
The annual meeting of the Greene County Baptist Association will be held at First Baptist Church of Springfield, September 22.
Our next quarterly business meeting will be October 8th.
